This service is designed for writers who have a strong idea but need space to think it through with an experienced editorial partner. Whether you’re at the earliest stage of an idea or feeling uncertain about how to move forward, the session creates clarity around purpose, direction, and next steps.
During a 30-minute video consultation, we’ll talk through your idea in detail and identify what’s most essential: the core concept, the intended audience, and the shape the work should take. I’ll respond from multiple editorial perspectives, considering big-picture structure as well as questions of tone, focus, and market viability.
The goal is not to “solve” the work in one sitting, but to help you leave with a clearer sense of what you’re making and how to proceed with confidence.

Outline Review & Generation
Editorial direction and feedback on structure, flow, and organization for longer-form projects.
This service is for writers and publishers who have begun shaping a project or need guidance on how to do so properly to strengthen its underlying structure. If you’re working with an outline and feeling unsure about sequence, balance, or clarity of purpose, this review focuses on the backbone of the work rather than line-level edits.
I will review and mark up your existing outline, offering feedback on structure, reader experience, and alignment with your stated goals. This includes considering audience, pacing, and how effectively each section contributes to the whole. For projects that include or anticipate visual elements, I can also offer guidance on how art might be integrated meaningfully.
The review is followed by a video call to walk through the feedback together, discuss questions, and clarify next steps.

Manuscript Critique
Big-picture editorial feedback on a complete or near-complete manuscript.
This service is intended for writers who have a full draft and are ready for a thoughtful, high-level editorial response. Rather than line edits, the focus is on how the manuscript works as a whole: its structure, clarity, pacing, and emotional or narrative throughline.
I will read the manuscript carefully and respond as both editor and informed reader, identifying what is working, what may be underdeveloped, and where the manuscript could be strengthened. Feedback considers audience, genre expectations, tone and voice, and whether the manuscript is fulfilling its intended purpose.
The critique is designed to help you see the work more clearly and make informed decisions about revision, next drafts, or next steps toward submission or publication.

Developmental Edit
A focused, one-time editorial engagement centered on structure, clarity, and revision at a defined stage of a manuscript.
This service is intended for writers who have a complete draft and a clear sense of the work they are making, and who are ready for in-depth editorial feedback before moving into later-stage revision. It is most effective once the manuscript’s structure is in place and key elements are solid, but before line-level editing or copyediting.
I will review the manuscript in full and provide detailed editorial feedback addressing structure, pacing, voice and tone, character development, and reader experience. The focus is on how the manuscript functions as a whole—what is working, what may need rethinking, and where revision effort will be most impactful.

Book Coaching
An ongoing editorial collaboration supporting both the development and publication of book-length projects.
Book coaching is designed for writers who want sustained, hands-on editorial guidance across multiple stages of a project. This may include manuscript development, revision, and preparation for publication, as well as support navigating the self-publishing process when appropriate.
Coaching often begins with questions of voice, structure, and clarity, but can extend beyond the manuscript itself. For authors pursuing self-publication—particularly through Amazon—I provide guidance across editing, positioning, and production decisions, helping authors move from draft to finished book with confidence and intention.
When design support is part of the process, it applies to longer-form works such as novels or nonfiction titles. I do not design picture books, but I can support interior and cover design for text-driven projects as part of a broader coaching engagement.
Book coaching is an ongoing collaboration shaped by the needs of the project. The work is editorial at its core, combining written feedback with regular conversation to support thoughtful progress from concept through completion.
